Masters in Business Administration(MBA)
MBA degree offered by the Purbanchal University is a two year program that comprises of twenty two courses and sixty-nines credit hours. The program consists of 4 distinct components: Foundation Courses, Capstone Courses, Specialization Course and Core Courses. In the beginning of the fourth semester, students will be assigned to firms/ organizations for eight weeks as an internship for business orientation and practical experience. By the end of the final semester, they have to submit a thesis.
Objectives of MBA
- Be able to combine business concepts and data with business knowledge in order to make strategic and tactical business decisions with the help of information technology.
- Be able to work in team.
- Be able to identify and respond to ethical problems inter-related to business practice.
- Be able to exhibit effective communication skills.
Eligibility for Admission
The candidate applying for MBA program must have secured at least CGPA 2.0 or 45 % in the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program from any recognized University.
Curricular Structure
The MBA program has been designed at 70 credit hours with 26 course components including internship project or thesis. There will be two non-credit courses for non-management background students. Each course component has a weight of 2 or 3 credit hours requiring a minimum of 32 or 48 direct class contact hours per semester and 5 credit hours for Internship or Thesis.
